As shown in Fig. 2A, tau co-sedimented with SH3 domains of cSrc, PLCgamma1, the N-terminal SH3 domain of Grb2, and most effectively with the p85alpha regulatory subunit of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase.

The binding of all four SH3 domains tested (from Fyn, p85alpha, PLCgamma1, and the N-terminal SH3 of Grb2) was considerably decreased by phosphorylation.
